So I personally went to school up on Long Island in New York. I went to Stony Brook University where I did my undergraduate in dental school education. Once I found a place to relocate to out of New York and settled on Charlotte, I did a residency over at Atrium at the main hospital. After that year of residency, I stuck around at the hospital to do some specialized care with cancer patients, oral cancer, and blood cancers, just to get a little bigger breadth of experiences and work on caring for patients in specialized situations.
For continuing education, I like to focus on areas that I may not have had as much of experience in throughout my previous education, so whether it’s getting involved with implant dentistry, which is a goal of mine as we approach the future, or getting involved with areas such as occlusion and function of the jaw, which has been always an interest of mine. Picking and choosing topics that I can really delve into has been a fun part of the career, to keep learning and keep going in different directions.
