Speaker: I grew up in Muncie, Indiana. I actually started at Purdue University in electrical engineering. I always like to say I liked engineering, but engineering didn’t like me. So after two years, I transferred down to Indiana University, finished my degree in biology, and then went straight into dental school at Indiana University. After dental school, I did two years of hospital dentistry residency, which brought me to Charlotte, and actually joined the practice at which my sister’s in-laws were a part of, and made that connection, and have been a part of this practice ever since, going on 25 years. Continuing education is never-ending. It’s always a constant evolution in your practice as you, new techniques, new materials come to the forefront. It’s important to stay on top of that so that we can offer the best service to our patients. After dental school, continued the education with my residency program, which actually taught me a lot of treating patients with more extenuating healthcare conditions, and as well as exposing me to, and really getting me more experience in the many facets of general dentistry.
